Conventional Medicine or Functional Medicine ?

Share with

This video will make it clear to you. The conventional medicine looks at the symptoms of a disease and tries to fix or reduce them. But this approach has not been found to be successful enough in curing chronic ailments such as diabetes, heart disease etc. The medicine world needs a breakthrough

Whereas, the functional medicine approach looks into the root cause of diseases that is not often revealed accurately by the symptoms.

Functional medicine practitioners spend more time with their patients on an average, as compared to their conventional counterparts. Functional medicine is customized for every individual patient and aims at restoring the natural functioning of the body. Once this is done, symptoms never return. But, in the conventional approach, medication is prescribed to get rid of or to suppress the patient’s symptoms. If the medication is stopped, the symptoms usually return.
